What is Halal?

Halal slaughter is the religious slaughter method which is associated with the Islamic and Jewish faith and must be used for meat from animals(not fish).

The persons, equipment and location related to the process must also be Halal sanctioned. The animals are stunned according to the animal welfare laws before the actual slaughter. The production line faces Mecca, the carotid artery is cut and the heart pumps out all the blood
